Neptune Cor-20 - repeatedly shutting down - flashing temp error

Suddenly my Cor-20 keeps shutting itself down and is throwing the high temp error. I haven't taken it apart yet but there is no clear reason why it would be doing this. Plenty of water, running at 50% or 25% flow even etc. Fusion is showing that the pump is working fine.

Any thoughts?

I moved a spare heater into my DT to make sure the temp stays up in the meantime. I'm having crap luck with the new tank. Return pump acting up, 1 gyre busted (just got the replacement), Dos is busted and waiting on parts, Dos #2 was DOA out of the box, and a possible issue with my Red Sea stand. I think I'm one more failure from throwing this thing on Craigslist and taking up golf. ;Rage

Per Neptune's suggestion I took the pump apart. Nothing seemed to be clogging it. After reassembly I'm getting the temp error again and now the dang pump is making a loud rattling sound. Shouldn't a return pump just work? Not a happy Neptune customer right now.

If it's making a loud rattling sound something has to be loose or a piece busted off that the impeller is no longer balanced. Can you dissemble and snap a couple pictures? It might help someone identify something that is wrong with your pump

Everything looked pretty good. The only odd thing was that the plastic circle around the impeller seemed to be able to rub against the pump body unless I held the assembly away from the body. Seems like way to much play is allowed. I'll snap some pics.

Pump has only been online for a couple weeks. Not seeing anything odd inside, looks clean. The only possible thing is if the gasket is popping off while closing it back up but that wouldn't explain it breaking in the first place.

I'm going to go drink some bourbon and lament my choice of hobby.

I recommend contacting Neptune right away I have had really good help from them always Good luck
