Neptune DOS Head Modification Question

Has anyone modified their DOS pump heads for push fittings? I was reading somewhere for them to fit right you have to cut off the bottom tip to each head. Is that the entire bottom portion below the threads? Right now I can't get them to dispense right. Can anyone help?

I just push 1/4” ro tubing right on

I bought the fittings to do this myself but haven't yet. From my understanding yes, you cut the tapered cone portion off from the threads down so all you have left is the threaded section. The thread RandyC posted above is the one that got me into doing it.

Thanks for the clarification, it was just a little confusing. The push fittings are so much better with the RO tubing
