Looking for recommendations on a doser for the Red Sea R250... been looking at the GHL and Neptune Dos... any ideas? Looking at trying the triton method but need to build a custom sump first...

I am new to controllers. But I love my DOS. I am not sure if GHL works with apex. But if you have a apex and want to dose whenever you want, I would say DOS. If you have a specific amount you want to dose and more set it and forget it, I think GHL would work great.

I have the apex.. just like the option of 4 pumps instead of just the 2 on the Dos...

Which way did you go? Trying to decide between the two. I have 2 dos units on one system - love it, no issues. Considering ghl on another system because it's $150 cheaper the 2 dos units for 4 heads. I'm sure the quality is good. The thing that worries me is set up. There is very little wifi programming info available from my research. What I have seen looks confusing. With the dos I can use fusion and having it going in a few minutes. Can anyone confirm the program friendliness of the ghl wifi unit?

If you have an Apex get a DOS, if not get the GHL.
I agree with this. If you have an Apex and care about everything being controlled in one place, the DOS is a good option. If not, the GHL Doser 2.1 is a great value and better built than the DOS, IMO.

I ended up going with the dos. Having the apex made it much easier getting setup and rolling. Overall very happy with my decision!

This system is currently not apex ran. At some point soon it may be, but for monitoring only.

Then I would lean towards the GHL. It's build solid and resale value is high. You will also get more pumps for the price...

I'm an Apex user and I have the GHL Doser 2. For me, the DOS wasn't an option, I would need two of them and they're really big. I like that it's stand alone (GHL) as well. If my apex ever takes a dive, I'm not locked into it for dosing.
