Neptune magnetic probe holder

Is the outside magnet submersible? My cabinet is packed and I have no external surface on the sump to mount this. Was wondering if I can mount internally on a baffle or sump divider

Following along, because I have a baffle I'd prefer to put mine on...but wasn't sure if it was ok as well.

You might want to check out Octo Aquatics, his are submersible, the magnets are encased. I sold the Neptune holder in favor of Octo Aquatics which are smaller, looks sleeker and no magnet exposed to water.
