What is considered to be the most commonly accepted frequency for doing full cleanings for the WAV pumps?

Should probes be cleaned or just calibrated? Especially the Ph and Salinity but the others as well.

ATO: Does the pump need cleaned (RO not Kalk) and if so, how? What is a good way to safely yet thoroughly clean the optical sensors?

Thanks!

Neptune’s manual for the WAVs isn’t terrible helpful - all I found was “Soak the components in a solution of white vinegar and water as needed to remove any encrustations.” Have you tried posting on the Neptune Community Forum?

Beyond. That, I try to do routine pump maintenance about every 6 months for both my return pump and my powerheads. (If I’m honest about it it’s probably closer to 9 months but I set the reminder for 6 months ;) ) I can’t say for sure that that’s better or worse than another interval but it’s been working for me and there doesn’t seem to be an inordinate amount of buildup on things.

Also, @redfishbluefish has a thread regarding vinegar vs citrate or HCl/muriatic acid for cleaning pumps. I’ve switched over to using citrate after reading through it.
