O.K. time to choose a controller. It is going on my SPS cube tank and I want to have some opinions as to which ones people are using.

I am not a fan of the X10 interfaces so I am faced with these 2 choices.

Thanks for your input.

i use two aquacontroller jr's on my tanks and would never run a tank without one again. i like that i can upgrade down the road using the dc8

I have a RK2 and love it! I have owned 2 ACjr's and while they worked great the RK2 was just so much easier IMO. With the RK2 you are limited to one DC8 or 8 outlets. Also with the newly released RK2 program, you can log tank parameters, send you alert emails and all kinds of stuff including have a web cam on your tank and pull it up through the program.

Here is a link to the program manual. The program is called My Reef I believe.

Thanks all for all the input. I am torn, The Juniors now come with a DC8 to plug in hard rather then X10 so its a tose up. I've heard nothing but good things about both...

I may have to tose a coin.

the ACJr is MUCH more versitile than the reefkeeper.......but the reefkeeper is easier to use if you aren't good with the programing language.

i have an ACJr. with a DC8 (i would never rely on X10)

This may be the deciding factor...
Which works best with a Mac? I can download a virtual PC program for my mac to run it.

Does anyone use a mac?

I dont know about the other other controller but I have a PA lighthouse controller and it works fine for what I use it.
