I purchased the Neptune PMK and it did wonders to dial in my lighting, but now that the lighting has been adjusted should I just remove the PMK from the tank? I am not sure why I need to know the daily/hourly PAR reading now that the lights are dialed in. What are others doing?

I would agree probably not needed but could be handy if your running t5's to determine when bulbs need to be changed.

I have LED's so I am going to pull it out of the tank and can plug it back in if I am seeing anything concerning

I bought one for my new (2nd) tank as I want to baseline the PAR levels in both tanks. It’s currently in the new tank but I don’t plan to leave it there permanently (but I may change my mind). We don’t really have many cheaper options For PAR meters in Australia so this was an easy option. Another forum member has posted a good, simple, DIY model to mount it on a piece of electrical conduit which I plan to use.

Definitely don't leave it in permanently. Other than the ugly wire, stuff will quickly grow on the white sensor and render measurements useless. Not sure, frankly, that it's accurate enough to monitor light decline in bulbs, but it you did want to do that, better to have it above the water where it won't foul.
