My trident has been acting up for a few weeks now. "Test A Failed", "No Test in 24 Hrs", "Reagent A Empty".
The Alkaline reading has also been zero. I just realized there is no Alkaline probe. Is Trident reading PH levels and showing that as Alkaline level ?

Either the bottle is empty or line for A is clogged or tune in bottle popped off

Also check that your drain line and test line are clear.

Sometimes near the connection they clog up aswell.

You are mixing a few things up here as there is no alkalinity probe. If you own a Trident then there are reagent bottles for Alk, Ca, and Mg.

As mentioned already it could be:

  • Alk reagent empty
  • Waste container is full

A bit more difficult to isolate:

  • Sample line blocked up or not able to draw
  • Pinched sample line
  • Pinched reagent bottle (door - Alk bottle, A, is more common here)

You can go into Fusion and take a screen shot of the Trident tile. Also click twice through the Trident panel until you get to the reagent / test left icon, screen shot that, and post. Also if you haven't I would recommend submitting a support ticket as tomorrow is Friday. So if you can today that would be good idea.

I replaced the almost empty Reagent A bottle, reset everything, and still getting the random notices. And my system still indicates "0"
alkalinity.

Can you run an Alk test and watch the vial behind the cover to see if it fills up?

Definitely start a ticket with support if it’s still in warranty. They will send videos of how to fix it. If it can’t be fixed and under warranty then press to get a replacement

Reagent bottle A is full, lines not bound up, cap is a half a turn loose, pick up tube is attached. Manually testing alkalinity draws water into the cuvette, and then the agitator spins rapidly. Still reads zero. Is the PH probe furnishing the alkalinity reading ?

Ok, just water? Reagent is not clear so you should see reagent being mixed in at some point.

If tank water is being pulled into the vial, the pump is prob good. If the reagent is full, the line isn’t pinched, and the needle is attached to the tube on the cap and no reagent is being pulled into the vial maybe the pinch valve is stuck or debris is in the line somewhere between the end of the needle and the manifold. Might need to be sent in for service. They have an exchange program, or warranty if new.

No, the ph probe has nothing to do with the trident. Trident uses the reagents. Can you post a picture of the fusion Trident icon to include the test remaining?

Just went through this. Was getting the same error in addition to "No Water sample" error. Disassembled and flushed both the sample and drain lines and connectors all the way to the black wheel like thing where the tubes attach.

Also flushed the reagent lines and cleaned the cuvette where the reagent and water mixes.
