Thanks for your reply. For sure there is high pitched beeping other than those things you listed. Neptune replaced one unit already for me and the replacement does the same thing.

Yeah. They all make noise. It’s called the motors and magnetic stirrer

Ugh...I just installed mine yesterday and I am here on this forum because I googled "Apex Trident making loud alarm sound." I am dang near deaf (at least my wife tells me so all the time) and I can DEFINITELY hear this annoying sound! The Apex isn't giving me any alarms and it seems to be working fine, but the noise is NOT cool....

I also just bought one of the new DOS QD's and it is infinitely quieter than the original DOS pump. Wish I had two of the QD's! Without dropping another $350 (of course)
