Neptune trident

BRS sold them 15-20 min early and were all sold out by 10 min before midnight

It would have been nice if BRS and others would have actually followed the release rules. Had I known they were going to have an arbitrary release time, I would not have woken up in the middle of the night.

Oh well, at least now I have time to really process if the $360 annual cost it worth it for my small system.

Every 2 years it’s recommended you send in for service costly roughly $200 or they will sell a service kit for under $100 to do it yourself.

Jesus, the way people were talking about it on here made it seem like the thing would only work with a $60 monthly subscription or something.

I actually really like that they have a list of preventative maintenance and a kit to keep everything running. I have a KHG and actually asked the designer to create a list of preventative maintenance, with 4 different pumps (on the KHG) I’m sure that tubing and roller need to be replaced, etc and I’d rather do it preventively than wait until something this critical fails. IMO this is something Neptune got right.

K, it a been released, everyone should be happy, I am, and now people start to complain about something else. SERIOUSLY!!! A maintenance fee of between 100 and 200 dollars, depending on which way you go isn't bad at all. Let look at the maintenance fee of a salt water tank in general. We replace carbon, filter media, C02 scrubber media, filter socks, salt, etc, etc. I would rather spend between 100 to 200 dollars for maintenance on something as important as the trident than replacing what is in my tank. We wanted constant testing and now we have it, let's be happy with that and move on to what the trident can do for us in the future.

Oh, and the maintenance is recommended every 18 to 24 months, so that is a monthly maintenance fee of 11.11 dollars for 18 months and 8.33 for 24 months, pretty cheap to me.:)

Sorry guys. I know you’re frustrated as I would be, but that’s not accurate. I went to BRS at 2:59 ET, put it in my basket at 2:59:40, still had to log into my account and then hit purchase. I was successful and completed my transaction at a few seconds past 3am.

Took the picture late to show my buddy but was on at 2:45-ish. Maybe I was not login at the time idk if that would have made a difference or not.

Did that really come out?? I didnt catch the video? (ie is that the fee for the maintenance -or the reagents and the maintenance)
That's just a annual maintenance fee the reagents will cost you another $22.50 per month so that's $370 per annum on top of buying it and you need the correct apex unit to run it I'd be looking at £1800 or there about for the costs of a years running think ill stick with tried and tested Alkatronic and Dosetronic and know that my dosing alkalinity is stable to within 0.03 over the day and that because its that stable the cal ium and magnesium will follow and the Dosetronic will adjust my dosing for all 3 from what the Alkatronic says my alkalinity is and I can save money into the bargain plus the back up and customer service across the world is second to none.

Poor neptune, even when the unit comes out, people are still not happy.

@Terence keep in mind the old saying.... You can't please all the people all the time, but you can please some of the people some of the time.

And for all the nay sayers in this forum, if your happy with your current solution, no need to come to this thread and trash a competitor product, thats not what this forum is for.
