Neptune water sensor as backup for failed drains

Has anyone used a neptune water sensor as a final backup incase all your drains fail? I was thinking place the sensor just slightly below the top of the lip of the tank and if both my drains failed, then that would be my final backup to stop the pumps from pumping water up and over the top of the tank. My only issue is the sensor comes w/ magnets that work for up to 1/4" glass, I would need something that worked with 1/2" glass or some type of 3d printed hook to mount it.

i use an optical sensor plugged into an fmm as a back up. if water reaches the sensor it turns my return off. then when the water gets below the sensor it waits 30 seconds and turns the pump back on.

return pump code for that looks like this.
if tank high then off
defer 000:30 then on

How did you get it to mount? The magnet that comes with the sensor is only good for up to 1/4" glass

my glass is about 3/8 and it works just fine.

Why not mount it on the overflow ..... assuming you have an overflow that is LOL. I have mine mounted into the external box of my overflow.

have you even tried the magnets? just because they say its only good to 1/4 does mean that at the smallest amount over 1/4 they immediately stop working, as i said my glass is about 3/8.
