I cant find much info on it, how do you guys think the Neptune WAV would work on a longer tank, 240 gallon tank 8' wide

And what positioning would you use for it?

Kind of a vague question .... perhaps why no responses. Early WAV models had an annoying propensity to short. Seems largely fixed now. One would certainly not be enough for an eight foot tank.

I have 2 new ones I'm planning to use on an 8 foot tank, would that be enough or should I get two more? It's a peninsula type tank with overflow on one end, 30" deep 24" tall

These pumps are powerful and i have one in 10 foot tank and it makes it right across.
I use the Malibu setting

Dunno … what kind of tank are you planning? FOWLR, two would be enough; SPS probably not enough.

Mixed reef leaning towards SPS

If you have 2 already, throw em in and try it. you can always order more.
I want to but I'm upgrading from a 180 to a 300, and I'm at the point where I'm gathering equipment for the build, I don't even have the apex set up yet because I'm debating setting it up on the current build or starting fresh with the new one, and you need the apex to test the wavs. Thoughts?

I have an 8’ tank with a WAV at the Bulkhead and another at the end on the opposite side creating a seemingly “circular” flow.
Seems to be plenty of flow.

As stated, they are extremely powerful.....when they are clean. These pumps, more than any other I have tried require frequent cleanings or they lose power quickly. I am currently using two along with two MP40s in my reef tank.
