I just set up my Wav setup a week or so ago and I can not for the life of me find out how to make the Vibration hum stop from the pumps. The tank is a waterbox peninsula tank.

I have tried everything I can think of and it is still humming clear as day to the point I can hear it in the other room. Its not loud it is just a very low wave hum. I here it in the sump area of the stand and of course it gets louder with speed and such.

I have reached out the Neptune and they really didn't have any idea because I cant really catch the sound on video. I have tired to move the pumps around put them on different ends of the tank different peace's of glass and nothing. I have isolated the cords so they do not touch any part of the tank or the glass with no change. I also put both filter mesh and thicker rubber peace's between the glass and the magnet to try to cushion it and nothing really makes any changes to it. I have also tried to hook it directly up to the eb8 instead of the module to see if the issue was in there and still nothing. When I unplug one and just let the pumps run solo they both do the same exact thing. So I'm not really sure what the issue is and how to fix it so before I get rid of them I wanted to see if anyone has any other ideas.

My ReefWaves run super quiet, but my Sicce SDC 9 return pump has managed to find just the right harmonic oscillation in my cabinet to generate an audible hum. Remove the pump from the sump - noise disappears. Put it back in the sump - vibration and hum returns. No amount of silicone pads, etc. has made any difference. I feel your pain!

Probably a dumb question, but have you tried rotating the magnet that sits on the outside of the glass? It holds the strongest at only one point. Mine often vibrate until I turn that magnet 90 degrees until it stops.

I never thought of that I will try that for sure later on I hope it’s that simple

Unfortunately no I tried a few things and it never changed. I reached out to brs and they said I could send them back but if there isn’t anything wrong with them they would just send them back which I is wasn’t to happy about their customer service on that. So I just got some mp40s and never had a problem since
