I am looking at picking up a pair of either of these for my new tank. I have 2 mp40's and the return but I feel like I will need more sources of flow as the tank is 4'x3'. I want these to go on the back wall of the tank, which is a coast to coast overflow, so I can't put additional mp40's on the tank.

I think I've narrowed it down to both of these pumps, so looking for experience with them!

I have 3 WAV’s 4 total.the WAV’s are nice if you own the newer 832 power bar
I like the control ability and durability so far, but they are large ...almost have to put these beast on the back wall, but they indeed move water ...

I have never owned reef octopulse but I love their varios returns. I didn’t like the wav’s personally and they are huge, so I would lean towards the octopulse.

A fellow reefer near me has the Octo pulse and he loves them more than his mp40s. I dont have experience with either but I would go with Octo.

I have returned my OP4 because of the noisy operation. Wanted to replace my Gyre XF 350 but my wife asked me after installation who the heck is mowing his lawn in winter and looked out the window The two OP2‘s I‘ve installed are fairly silent.
