Hi All -

I'm nerding out big time and was thinking about getting a webcam so I can check on my tank from work.

Anyone have a webcam recommendation?

whatever they replaced the fishcam with would be ideal, 20$ amazing purchase and a cheap app called 360 eye to run it (find cams associated w that app/simple)

I still have my original fishcam and its great for remote checks, I once had it display my bubbling system had shut down due to lines being clogged with the white inner bacterial coating and I was able to remote-outlet trigger a backup bubbler lol pretty slick

25$ for the wifi outlet and $20 for the fishcam saved my tank when I was in the mountains.

This is actually the only function i use of the raspberry pi i purchased to attempt a reef pi. Not great and requires some programing and some diy but accomplishes what i wanted.

I use two (both less than $30 on Amazon). The 360eye and Yi home cameras. Both have really easy apps. I have one in my sump and the other on the display. They’ve been great when traveling and walking through fixes with the kids or house sitter when problems arise..

I have no idea, never heard of that. I'm only a little nerd, mostly cool, not all nerd...I just use the camera, it's linked to my wif-fi in my house and use its app. That's it. I don't use any other apps with it.
