Some kind of filter feeder... just moved this nerite to the top rock pile to get some algae and noticed this little guy dancing

If there is a white concretion on the base of it attached to the nerite shell it is definitely some kind of feather duster. Looks like there is a side profile of the structure in that picture.

Yes the base is a white/pearl color. My initial thought was some kind of feather duster but wasn’t sure. When I saw it expanding and closing rapidly I assumed it was feeding.
