Ok so this one Nerite snail keeps heading to my overflow box and gets in it, what can I do to stop this. I am concerned that if two get into those pipes at the same time my main display will overflow.

Maybe try some of the plastic gutter guard that they sell in hardware stores and wedge it in the O/F box folded so that it's folded and creates a dome like barrier inside the O/F box.

This used to happen to us, there searching for a food source. Like stated above, some type of guard can help. You don't want them clogging the overflow.

I have the same problem...darn nerite snails love the overflow! I haven't had any go into my pipes, though. I use a strainer on my full siphon line to keep them out... but they could get into my emergency line! I've been thinking of using the gutter guard idea stated above to block them from getting into the overflow.

That’s why I mentioned gutter guard vs fiberglass screen mesh. Gutter guard is pretty open regarding the x grids.
