Hey guys,

so i've recently upgrated my wavemaker to a Nero 5. So after the thing turning itself on at 100% and blowing water everywhere, I've got some settings dialed in where the water is staying in the tank :).

So my main questions are with respect to the flow readout on the app. When I have it at 1%, the app is telling me that the flow meter is still pumping out 950 gph. The pump is advertised to max out at 3000 gph, so 1% should be 30 gph. When i have it set to 25%, the app is saying that it is running around 1500 gph, but in reality it should be running at 750 gph.

Also what settings do you guys typically run your nero at? I have mine set at random at the moment and then the slowest pulse for overnight hours.

Cheers

Best way to explain the power percents is that it is relative to about 30% at 1% if that makes sense, so the 1- 100% selectable range in reality goes from 30-100%.

As for scheduling your settings are similar to what I have done. Slower random at night medium random during the day and 2 pulse periods, one morning and one evening about 80% to stir stuff up and keep it clean.

The percentage is logarithmic and not linear. So what that mean is that there’s a set range. Min (1%) being ~900 and Max (100%) being ~3000. Even then those are also just estimates from the app.

+1 to above post. I have two. Run one on pulse mode and one on medium variance random flow. They run the same speeds throughout day and night.
