Nero 5 Not Working

Hi i bought a 2nd hand nero 5, saw it working in sellers tank before taking it home. When i threw it in my tank it was working fine after a factory reset just on the unlinked controller mode (constant speed only). But after linking it to the app it stopped working, on start up/after spamming the controller button itll spin for like 3-5 revolutions then just stop. Ive taken it apart to check for blockage and now can't get to work even when un linked. Controller shows no error code just displays as if it were functioning normally.

If my nero 3 stops I unplug it from the controller and plug back in. Yhat has worked every time so far

Nevermind! I'm an idiot and had swapped the power adaptor between that and my protein skimmer it appears.
