It won’t connect to my phone and I’ve reset it and my Bluetooth is on and not connected to anything else.

Same issue. Any ideas?

I set up a “new tank” in MyAI and connected just fine. The tank I added the Nero 5 to had already been associated with a Hydra64 light.

Now that I had the Nero 5 setup up on the “new tank” in MyAI, I set out to delete the old tank and add the Hydra 64 to the new tank.

The MyAI app found the Hydra64, successfully ID’d the light, but would not allow me to connect. I tried the process in reverse and the same issues surfaced. I believe it’s a compatibility problem between the Nero 5 and the Hydra64. I will update my ticket with AI.

No it’s not a compatibility issue, you just have to make a new tank for every product. I’m not sure why they designed it like that

Thanks! I received confirmation of the same from AI, too. It is an interesting way to go about set-up. I appreciate your response.

You think they will make it so that you can add to the same tank soon? Seems a bit goofy to me to have a different tank for each equipment item.

New “tank” is the answer?

So, now I have OfficeHydra and OfficeNeros rather than simply Office.

They should rename Bluetooth to “Bluetooth Devices.”
Then “Add to Tank” to “Add Device.”

Then they should work on devices groupings.

If you look at settings for a “Settings>Advanced” you can see why they did it this way. How can you have a group of devices and enumerate settings like that?

Poor UI design. I hope they change it.

This is beyond ridiculous. As a tech, infuriating nearly covers it.

Not a single AI product I've purchased has had a straight forward setup. Right now I'm setting up a Nero 3 with the New Tank method, which is dumb as hell to begin with, but it goes through the firmware verification and then on to "Connecting...". Then is fails. No amount of resetting the device works. It just seems to lose its connection.

Then there is the whole BLE issue half the time when trying to connect to the AI Prime 16HD.

For over $200 per powerhead, you'd think this company could get their **** together!

I just searching online to see if I was missing something or what was wrong because could not add annero 3 to the app... As soon as I added it as a "new tank" all started working, while the app is kind of weird it will be less of a problem if things were label correctly, instead of "add to tank" it should just have two options "name new device" and another button named "group similar devices", so we not spend hours trying to mix devices under the same name...

Probably a good written user manual or help section for the app will help!

Just had my own nightmare getting a Nero 3 set up. In my case it's because I have location off in my phone settings normally. The device will not show at all in the myAI app without location set to on. What makes it a pain is the app asks to access location and when you say yes, it just moves on with no indication of a problem but never finds the device. Slightly different issue but figured I'd add it to hopefully help someone.

Nice find. Another annoying feature of Bluetooth. I really don’t like it for this type of application. I like the pumps themselves, but the app is janky and BT in general is not fun.

I agree about Bluetooth as I find it's always fiddley, but I have never had this location issue in pairings with other devices.. What would possibly necessitate location access for a protocol that only transmits 30ft? Anyway, after the wasted couple hours trying to figure out what was wrong, I find the app itself is great but needs some refinements. The first I would add is the enable schedule button would change colour or text to show it's actually activated.
