Nero5 or reef octo

Hi, I’m starting a new tank build 4ft 90 gallon. I’m hung up on powerheads between the Nero or reef octo. I have mp10 on my frag tank but looking for low profile on exterior of the new tank. Which would you prefer and how many power heads do you think is suitable for mixed reef?

I have a 4ft tank (RS 425xl) and I have 4 Nero 5's. Really like the app they also move water very well.

I had an Octo 4 on my 110 and I could only run it on the lowest setting without having a sandstorm. The octo's definitely moved a ton of water.

Additionally, with the Octo 2 or 4, and what i am doing, you can get rid of the power bricks and controllers by using the Hydros WaveEngine. The Hydros is $299.99, but by getting it, you can get the pump only option on the 2 or 4 which saves you $80/$100 respectfully, per power head. Not to mention the ability to control you power heads, return pumps thru the cloud or blue tooth.

Gyre was something else I was considering but looks like they need more maintenance to keep them running like they should

Reading on the wave engine is that basically what it is, all in one brain to control your pumps ?

Not really, the Octo 4 was a beast, it was moving sand all over the tank. I never did get it turned all the way up. LOL
