Hi all. just wondering if there is a dip of some sort that I can put a net into that keeps it clean and disease free but also keeps it ready to use.
A little history as to why I need, or would want it. I have a dwarf seahorse tank that I feed baby brine to every day. I have a 3 stage hatchery where 1 stage is fresh saltwater getting oxygenated, second stage they are hatching and third stage they are enriching. I net the baby brine out of the third stage daily to feed to the dwarfs. I turn off the bubbler, they all swim to the top, I net them out, rinse them in RODI water, feed, then rinse the net in tap water to keep it clean, and I was wondering if there is a product that I can just put the net into to keep it clean, instead of rinsing it in tap water, between feedings. The net is usually still wet when I use it again and I wonder if some of the tap contaminants could be getting on the brine and in turn getting into the seahorse tank.
I know it sounds nitpicky but it would be so much easier to just net them out to feed and then throw the net in the dip that I have next to the hatcheries, and know the net and tank stays clean.

I would say the you are using the best solution now. Using a dip bucket, you would be constantly changing the solution in the bucket and any shrimp cought in the net would start to decompose in the solution.

Yeah that kind of what I thought. I was just thinking that if I could mix up something like H2O2 to keep the net dipped in, wouldn't really have a negative effect (not sure on that though) and it would keep it sterile and clean between uses. but not sure if lifting the net out of hydrogen peroxide and scooping up brine would kill them all instantly LOL. Oh well I will just keep to the current system, besides it gets me my daily exercise walking from end to end of the house 2 times just for a scoop of brine lol
