Never made my introduction

I have been a member and posting here since December of 2012 but I have never introduced myself.
T & W are the initials to my first and middle name. I am medically retired from the United States Army. I am married with 2 kiddos.
I have always wanted to get into saltwater reefing but I could never afford it until recently. I was in need of something to fill some space in my daily routine. For Christmas my Wife got our oldest a 40 gallon tall FW stocked with too many fish from a guy in the next town over. He threw in the 20 gallon high for free and I was off!
Currently I am day 2 of Week 3 in my cycle process.

This forum and its members have been an invaluable resource to me.

Welcome I'm a newbie too in R2R but have been in this hobby for 5 years now. Start slow do not rush, try to hold off buying too many fish or corals right now, let it mature for at least 1 year before stocking with expensive fish or corals, this is the difficult part especially when your in the LFS. The temptation is too great and will over come you, but if you're patience you will have one great tank. Good Luck...

Wow not sure I can wait a year before stocking! That might be too much for me. Or do you mean keep it simple and cheap to make sure I have a good grasp on what to do to keep everything in check? I hope its the later LOL
But seriously thanks for the advice and well wishes.
