Never sending another penny to AQUA SD

I just received my order from Aqua SD from their "Im not at MACNA sale". My order consisted of 6 acans, 4 from the sale and 2 that were added to my order from their website. All I can say is a picture is worth a thousand words. out of 6 acans only 2 matched, 1 looked similar and the rest was junk that didn't come close. Also worth noting is according to the emails I received during the sale saying "you got it!" that meant you received the wysiwyg item pictured unless stated other wise. At least that was my experience from past ASD sales. I received the "you got it!" email on all 4 acans I purchased from the sale. Quoted from the sale thread post #1 from aqua SD "whoever emails first get it." You get the drift lets look at some pics.

ALL THE CORALS WERE LABLED WITH THE NAME ON THE BAGS AND I MATCHED THEM UP. ONCE IN THE TANK I CHECKED FOR POSSIBLE MISS LABLES WITH NO LUCK.

I will agree that this is the same acan, however its not wysiwyg. yes i received the email stating "you got it". overall i guess its small potatoes but this is one of the few they got somewhat right.

the whole reason i purchased this one was for the unique speckling on the outer edge. And to my surprise the frag i received didn't have any. at least its close.

this acan was added from the site so it isn't wysiwyg, could it at least resemble the picture? where is the bright green center and the redish outer ring

and last but certainly not least this is the one i was the most upset about. once agin added from website so its NOT wysiwyg. doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out these 2 aren't the same.

Its incredible that Aqua SD would even send this who are they trying to fool with these acans. I have ordered from many online vendors and been nothing but pleased and well taken care off i hope people see this and think twice about ordering from these idiots. Time to take my acan purchases to cherry corals where i have always been taken care of. Thanks for looking

I'd be happy to send you a brand new box and replace your whole order, and I will personally pull everything. Training a new packer at the shop and he picked the incorrect pieces. I"m sorry about this.

Here's a update after speaking to Will on the phone today. As you can see on the post above he said he would be happy to resend my order no problem.

When talking on the phone he said "I can resend your order or I can refund you. I would rather refund you actually." I asked him if he's sure that's how he wants to handle this. And he replied with "What do you mean?" I explained to him that in my eyes him making things right would be to send a replacement like he said and a refund would just squash the problem instead of fixing it. I would rather have the correct coral and that's the best way to make things right. We would both be happy, I get the correct coral and I would obviously share how he fixed it. He replied im afraid of another post like this and can't have that. And with a refund I can spend it with other vendors. I'm thinking to myself well all you have to do is send the correct coral that's the whole reason there's a post, I didn't make this up.

I quickly got the feeling he didn't want me as a customer due to him saying he prefered to refund me rather than sending a box like he said. Im sure I could have talked him into sending me the box but it was clear he didn't want to. So much for him pulling my order himself and it being no problem.

He said that he does want me as a customer but with the refund I can support my local vendors. He did say at the end of the convo that if I ever wanted to order i have to contact him first before I order and he will send me pics before he ships. Is wanting the correct coral pictured to much to ask? I dont need wysiwyg, I need what you order is what you get lol. I felt like he was treating me as a difficult customer who always causes problems for them. All I wanted was what I ordered just like everyone else.


Overall we had a professional conversation and I accepted his offer of a refund for the corals so we can go our separate ways. I'm not upset with the outcome, but I feel like with the refund we both took a loss in our own way. He had the opportunity to step up to the plate and keep me as a customer and fell short by automatically opting to refund me vs sending me a replacement like he said he would. He didn't even want to do what he said he would do. I gave you a crack like you asked for and you didn't come through.
 
Adam, I asked to give us a chance to make things right before posting negative things regarding us and calling us names on a national forum. There was no chance given before you jumped the gun. I felt the best case was a refund, since you still seemed very angry at us, that you probably would not want anything to do with us in the future. You didn't oppose too much for the refund either.

Again, please keep the corals as freebies from us. I know you said you have the pieces over the phone, so maybe PIF it to your friends who are in the hobby. Please take the refund and support the stores around you as you wished to do in the first place. Thank you again for taking your time to call me.
 
Could I have handled the situation better and not jumped the gun. Yes. You said you would be happy to replace my order and you would pull it yourself, I believed you. When I called you said that you want to just refund me. You went back on what you said you would do.
There wasn't any point in arguing with you trying to get your to replace it I asked u if u were sure that a refund was how u wanted to handle it and u made it clear that's what you wanted to do.

At the end of the day you guys made the mistake not me. All I wanted was what I ordered and you guys had 2 shots and couldn't do it.
 
Why after you agreed to a refund over the phone, I refund you within 2 mins of hanging up the phone, and yet you still want to fight this??
 
Just updating on how you didn't do what you said you would. That is all no further comments are necessary.
 
I understand I offered to replace the corals, but we both agreed to the refund, and now you are making it seem like I am going back on my word, when we had a verbal agreement to a refund (what we both felt best). I kept my end of the agreement and refunded you within minutes of hanging up. All should have been fine without extra drama added to the mix.
 
A refund was never even crossed my mind. You said you would replace and pull my order that's what I thought we were doing. The first thing out of your mouth on the phone was that you want to refund me.

I asked you are u sure that's how you want to handle this and you said yes. I wasn't going to argue with you to replace it like you said. I accepted the refund and found out your word means nothing.
 
please enjoy your free acans Adam. I'm sorry that even with the refund (that we both agreed on) you are still dissatisfied with the outcome and feel that you must hurt our company more. there is nothing more I can do.
