Is anybody else annoyed by all the unavailable products? If it‘s a product you have no inventory of and it’s not going to be available in the next 30 days. Keep it to yourself. I’m buying stuff now, not 1 to 2 years from now. As one example. The Maxspect MJ-SK400. I want. I want. I want. Another example is the CoralCare Gen2 LED. After forever waiting, you are now treated to a link with no price or actual release date. I’m 45yrs old and been in business for 25yrs. I know it is not that complicated to design, build, manufacture, hype and release. This should take no more than a few months. From the time I hear about it until the time they start being available should not exceed 30 days. You’re just burning people out on your product “IDEAS” and poorly running your business. These companies have what I believe to be great looking, well engineered products that they just cant figure out how to produce and sell. As good as a lot of these products are or seem to be, I may just have to put them on my “never mind” I’ll build one myself list. COME ON! Money is slipping right into your competitors hands.

I have been waiting for the Red Sea Reef wave for a while now. I understand the frustration. The problem now is most stuff is made in China So it’s going to be a while before stuff gets rolling again. But I strongly agree, don’t tease us and then make us wait 2 years for it to surface.

I've been growing corals for 15 years and one thing I've learned toward this hobby is patience. In every aspect of it, not just whats in the box. I can grow coral just fine with what I have and don't need the newest gadget to be successful. What we have now is far better than fifteen years ago and I did well then. Something on the market next summer or next year doesn't effect my daily attitude or decision making one bit today.

Well said! I think the same way. The next greatest thing is not going to make that much of a difference with what you are doing now or in 2 years imo.

Not entirely sure what your point is. If it’s that companies should not announce new products ahead of time, that’s pretty standard ops for most businesses so unlikely to change ... and probably not a driver of competitive differentiation. In some cases, advanced announcements can be quite beneficial. Global supply chains are experiencing some significant disruption at the moment, so some products may not be available for a few months.

I said what my point was. I feel like I shared that. I have a lot of stuff too and can live with what I have. I also think that my post is both a compliment (back handed compliment) to the mentioned products and to the engineering qualities they have. I want them. But as I stated. They are off on the timing which shows a lack of business sense. Philips is a large company that’s been around for over 100 years so..... REALLY! They can’t figure out how to produce and sell a product? I have more light than anyone I know. I have a light obsession. I’m getting ready to do a build thread and would love to feature the MJ-SK400, so Maxspect, if your listening. I’ll even buy it!! I’ll even let you tell me the exact day to reveal I have one and won’t tell anyone.. Swear. Now that would be great business sense to have this skimmer featured in my sump. When you’re just replacing something, then yes, it can wait. You can just buy it when it comes out. BUT! When your putting something new together and doing a tone of research and find that perfect thing for this build. Who wants to wait when the wait time isn’t even known. Most stuff isn’t that innovative so meh! But I really like what Maxspect is up to. I don’t want to wait for what they have already shown me they have. GIVE IT TO ME!

Ha! I really showed them. I went ahead and bought the Maxspect AD600. LoL. That’ll learn’m a lesson. It’s a little too big I think, but I can go way heavy on the bioload. It’s sick as hell.
