I am new to the hobby and just got a used 100 gallon reef ready 30 x 30 tank from a buddy. It was custom made and the holes we drilled with two 1-1/2” (3/4” Bulkhead) and one 2-1/2” (1-1/4” Bulkhead) the previous owner used the 1-1/4”for a Durso drain and the other two as returns. I was thinking of switching the tank over to a Herbie style. Do you guys think that would work with these bulkhead dimensions? If so what ones would you use for the main siphon, emergency drain and return.

Yup, that should work fine as long as you keep your total flow around 400g or less. The only reason I would think you would need more flow is if you wanted to run a Triton system.
