hello ,
ive been in the hobby almost a year and decided I wanted a 120g instead of a 37g ,, taking on the time and patience of the hobby I wanted to ,"go big or go home"
my ammonia wont go down and its been 5 weeks , I'm very confused to why this is happening ,, I'm thinking maybe I don't have enough ,,
I have 1 hydor 850gph and 1 marineland maxijet 900 in circulation mode doing 1000gph
my filtering is 2 hob rated for 50g one with very porus lava rock , the second with seachem biomedia for phosphates and silicates
there is an internal fluval f4 rated for 80g
and a fluval 405 filtering through these stages coarse foam , fine foam , carbon & seachem ammonia , nitrite, nitrate remove , then 2 stages of lava rock before being returned
I have 2 30 inch optibright leds I use for blue
and 1 20 inch florescent ballist with 1 cool white bulb

should I be running more ? should I be running less , I honestly need some help with this because its a 5ft tank and flow parameters and everything are essential

Bump for larger tank owners. :-)
