Hello everyone!

This thread is something I want to use as documentation throughout the process.

The tank is a 125 gallon, purchased for 100 dollars (great deal if I may say so myself).

Stand is homemade by me, not too bad for my first try!

Rock is all base rock and different rock I have gotten for free.

Total cost into this build at this point is $145.

Now I'm on to aquascaping this monster, a little bigger than my bio cube lol. I'll add more pictures as it progresses! Thank you for stopping by!

Definately a work in progress and some things will move around but, so far it's not looking too bad. I want a lot of Cavs and overhangs to create some shadows and different areas for critters and fish to hide and feel safe. Also while allowing for maximum coral placement...

Looks great just remember to leave room between glass and rock to clean. Also try to think where dead spots will be with rock blocking flow from your power heads

Nice deal! Is it drilled or how are you going to run filtration? I like the rock work look, it will all look more natural once algae starts to grow in it.
I plan on using an overflow box, I've had good luck with them in the past. I really hope the rock turns the same color with time lol, I guess that's the downside of free rock from a bunch of different places...

Thank you! Yes hopefully there isnt too many spots, I'll have to think about that when I place my power heads for sure too!

Mine was the same way, bought it from a few different people and some was really really white and it’s starting to really blend in now.

So my rock has hope! Lol yeah I've got some that's like greenish and some really white rocks, and then some darker brown or even red rocks
