New 125g reef tank setup tips

The wife and I are beginning into the reefing hobby by starting a 125g tank. Yes, we have had tanks before just never one this size and never salt water. Still getting all the supplies together and haven't hooked anything up yet. Any tips from seasoned reefers that we should know, anything that you would have done different, anything to help the start of this tank go smooth. Any help, advise, or comments are appreciated. Will follow with pictures when the tank is set up.
