I am puttin together a new reef tank. Moving up from a 55G I have had for several years and basically getting everything new. Here is the parts list I am thinking off. Thoughts? What am I missing? Advice on sump? Any different components you would suggest?
Reef Tank Setup
Tank
: 130 Gallons. 36x30x28. 2 sided starphire glass (front and left).
  • Manufacturer: Reef Saavy
  • 2 drains. 1 return.
  • Low Iron Glass on 2 sides
  • Phantom Bottom
  • Ghost Overflow
Skimmer: Red Sea Reefer RSK-600
Sump:
Algae Scrubber for Sump: CW-100 Algae Scrubber (https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/cw-100-external-algae-scrubber-up-to-125-gallons-clear-water/)
  • Option 2: Trigger Systems Platinum Sump - 34x15.
Lighting:
Auto Top Off Res: Sapphire ATO 10 Gallon Reservoir
Control System: Neptune Systems APEX Bundle – Elite: https://www.marinedepot.com/neptune-systems-apex-bundle-elite

What you have so far sounds good. What your missing though is
Heating / cooling
Return pump
Power heads
Ideally a lid
A method of dosing if you want LPS / SPS

And algae scrapers, nets, test kits, an RODI system with RODI reservoir and salt mixing reservoir, ( auto water change system would be really nice), quarantine tank, maybe a frag tank tied into your main system.
