New 150 gal room divider tank

So I currently have a 29 reef with approx 50 lbs of live rock running for over 2 years with all kinds of coral attached. I also have about 50 lbs of dry rock. When I start the cycle on the new tank should I just start with the dry rock? I plan on putting everything from the 29 gal to the 150 gal. Just not sure if using my LR will kill everything during the cycle so was wondering if it's just better to cycle with the dry rock the slowly add everything from the 29 gal. Thanks in advance for the help.

Why not just start a new cycle in the tank and when it's done and stable then move your other rock over. That way you don't have to risk losing the corals in a new cycling tank.

If your able to, then yes. Then you can take your time introducing your livestock slowly so as not to overload your system as well.
