I am putting together a new 180 gallon (72" x 24" x 24") tank.

Here is a list of fish - along with the order of addition to the tank (if the number is the same they will be added at the same time).

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

1. Ocellaris Clownfish (2)
1. Black Axil Chromis (7)
2. Golden Butterfly - Red Sea - 4”
3. Regal Angel - Red Sea - 4"
4. White Tail Bristletooth Tang
5. Potters Angel
5. Flame Angel
6. Powder Blue Tang
6. Naso or Sohal Tang
6. Purple Tang - Red Sea
7. Dusky Wrasse - Male – Adult

try and put the tangs in together, avoid fights and ich

I think Angels (except for Regal) are the most aggressive fish, second Tangs, third Clown but they are too small to worry about.
I would change the order as follow assuming wrasse, tangs and angels are the same length.

1. Ocellaris Clownfish (2)
1. Black Axil Chromis (7) (assume they are lager than clowns)
2. Golden Butterfly - Red Sea - 4”
3. Regal Angel - Red Sea - 4"
( Observe the Regal, make sure it is comfortable in the tank before adding more fish )
4. Dusky Wrasse - Male – Adult (a wrasse would appear smaller if it is the same length as a tang )

5. White Tail Bristletooth Tang
5. Powder Blue Tang
6. Naso or Sohal Tang (read sea?)
6. Purple Tang - Red Sea
7. Potters Angel
7. Flame Angel
Any fish in the 5, 6 and 7 categories should be introduced in the order smallest to largest.
Red sea species tend to be more aggressive.

Each fish will need a place to hide at night. If there are not enough hiding places. they will fight.
For an adult wrasse, you'll need a 3"-4" fine sand bed for it to burrow at night. The wrasse might injure its snout trying to burrow in a shallow sand bed.

Thanks!

I think I will switch the order and put the 7 Black Axil Chromis (Blue-Green Reef Chromis) in first right after the cycle.

And then a week or so later add the larger 2 Clownfish.

I only want a 1+ inch sand bed so the Dusky Wrasse is out.

Probably going to ditch the Sohal as well.

Are you sure about putting the Potters (more "docile" fish?) and Flame in after the Powder Blue and Purple...?

If you want to introduce the dwarf angels first, make sure the tangs are bigger. Fish usually don't bully a new occupant who is bigger. You have a good mix of fish. It's going to look great. Remember to post some progress.
