New 25 gallon lagoon need help with fish choices

25 gallon lagoon. 25 lbs live rock tunze skimmer.
Looking to add some fish not sure how many would be the max.
I would like one potters wrasse or leopard wrasse. Pair of clowns, pair of helfrichi firefish, flame back angle and possible a small shrimp goby? Any ideas if this is too many fish? Any suggestions? Thanks for the help

Your tank is to small for either of the Wrasse, also they are very hard to keep alive (expert only). The Flame Angel will also grow to large for your tank. You might be okay with the clowns, goby & firefish, but only if the firefish are a bonded pair, otherwise they will fight and one will die. Go to www.liveaquaria.com and look at the fish that you want, they have the stats that will let you know temperament, size of fish, size of tank required, how easy to keep etc...

Check out the nano reef section for those individuals with nanos and what they keep and experiences. May give you some great ideas. In a 25, if you have a pair of clowns, you will not get much else in there. They will become very territorial as they grow and once lay eggs, all bets are off.

If you are set on clowns (which I love btw), get the other fish at a similar time or at least before the clowns get territory. I have found that clowns ignore the shrimp gobies. Plus, these guys with their shrimps are way cool. Look into these. Great nano fish!

Lagoon in what others may think is one thing, but a lagoon tank would be to me one that keeps the animals found in a lagoon area. So seaweeds and other sand dwelling type corals. Sometimes a patch reef is found throughout lagoons too. I would call that more of a combo as no mangrove areas have corals like that around them. Guess it could be incorporating many areas of the lagoons in one small area.

Still looks cool. Just not what I would call lagoon. Maybe I am too literal. Maybe it is referring to the style of the tank and not the inhabitants.
