I picked up a used 28g biocube, wanted to mainly do coral in this tank. I have a 90 gallon sw tank but kinda keeping it a fish only tank. My question is,how many of you dose their smaller tanks. I've seen people with same size tank with sps,lps and other stuff inside and they just keep up with water changes and keep healthy coral. Then there's other people I see that dose their tanks and do water changes. What's the best route to go and keeping your corals healthy. I have a few zoas, shroom and acans but plan on adding more stuff down the road and wanted to get some input. Thanks in advance

IMO if you're starting out with zoas mushroom acan etc and no sps then weekly water changes will keep your water parameters just fine. Once you get into sps then I would definitely look into dosing if water changes can't keep up the coral demand.

Tagging along... For weekly water changes, how many gallons should you do for a 29 gallon tank?

I have a BC29 and do 10g bi-weekly water changes ... I only have LPS corals though and they tend to like a dirtier tank though.

I have a jbj 28g I do weekly 5 gallon water changes, even though I'm fully stocked it's plenty of water changed to keep my fish and coral happy, I have mostly zoas, acans mushrooms a few frogspawn, torch and hammer I started dosing but now just water changes and food for the coral.
