Okay, so I have a new Biocube off of Offerup. The guy I got it from just replaced the lights and gave me a bunch of stuff including a power head modification for saltwater. So im going to my local reef stores tomorrow and was wondering what I should stock this with to start. I’m not stocking tomorrow by any means, but where’s a good place to start. I want my reef to look like a scene on avatar. And I want my livestock to have a lot of cool qualities. Symbiotic relationships are cool to me also. I know I should start with some cleaning crew as well. I’m thinking emerald crab and peppermint shrimp and other things. I’m totally new to saltwater so what are some first things you put in your new builds?

Is your tank Oceanic or Coralife brand? Show us a pic of your lights or be specific about what it was upgraded to. I have an Oceanic 29 and my son has a 32 Coralife. The type of coral you CAN have may determine what livestock to suggest. Btw, Tailspot Blenny!!!! Coolest fish.

Don't get emeralds or peppermint shrimp! They will become predatory.

Look at hi fin gobies and pistol shrimp if you don't want your sandbed wrecked.

Blue leg hermits and snails are good for CUC. (Clean up crew)
