I purchased the tank for my first reef system a few weeks ago and after a few good scores from friends and Facebook market it's started and cycling, slowly, though I still need to add the live sand. DT is a 30" cube just over 110 gallons, two 20 gallon high tanks about 2/3rds full. It has two 800 gph return pumps. 2 marlineland 100watt heaters. I am also running 2 Jebao wave makers wide open to handle the current issues in a cube tank. The lighting is 2 165watt black box leds. The protein skimmer is gravity/ air stone powered and is skimming 50% of the water that passes through the overflow. My next step is the live sand and the the a.r.k. Fuge system for the empty 20g. Then onto the RO reservoir and ATO. Any input would be welcome it is my first.

Added the sand today, I have to tweak the wave makers a bit as they are creating sandstorms. It's argalive Indo-pacific

Looks great! I'm digging the tall tank/aquascape too!

Long term word of advice, you might regret having the rocks all the way against the back glass. It ends up being a trap for detritus, food, algae, and poop which can result in issues with nutrients when the tank matures. Not to mention it will make it difficult to impossible to clean the back wall.

If you could to try and bring it forward a couple inches that would be my recommendation. Better now than when you have a bunch of corals and critters to make it a big pain to move your rocks.
