New 40g peninsula build

So I got the idea to do a 40g peninsula
I plan on using a 20g long sump or a 29g.
I started with the stand this weekend any tips on the stand are appreciated!

Added some more bracing and a plywood top

if you want, you can make that stand much less bulky. doesn't really matter now.

I have built my frame for my 40 breeder stand out of 2x2's that are glued and pocket screwed together.

Ya I over build stands it a personal peice of mind. Do you think I need a brace or will it be ok?
