New 55 Gallon Setup

This tank will feature a Coral Reef and 2 Clown Fish. Question: I am thinking of Using CaribSea Hawaiian Black. However, I heard one comment that it may throw off some undesirable elements into the tank that may inhibit coral growth. What is your opinion?

Using it in our 32 for a couple years now and a 9 for 6 months or so with no issues.
