So I'm kind of new to reef tanks. I'm going from a 29 gallon tall to a 65 reef ready now.
Tell you the truth my 29 was set up horribly. Horribly meaning it wasn't a reef ready tank. My clownish have been survivors. I must say! But back to the build.
Here goes a list of the things I've purchased:
Marineland 65 gallon corner flow tank
Custom Cherrywood 36" Tall Cabinet
Custom Cherrywood Canopy
Tsunami 20" Sump
Reef Octopus NWB-SSS110 Protein Skimmer
Rio 2500 Return Pump- 4 now..
2 36" Retro- Fit T5 Kits n 4 bulbs
ATO Supplies
Koralia Evolution 1150gph Powerhead
Bimini live sand by Caribsea..60lbs.

Day 3 of the build for me.. trying to get water in and running by this Sunday night at least.

I have a few things left on my list to get.
Salt
Ro/DI Unit
Live Rock
Another Power Strip
Moonlights..can be put in @ a later time..
& that's about it for now. I'm glad I signed up to be a member of this forum. Was recommended to me by a member already.

I'll keep you guys updated with what's happening. . Would love to here any feedback.

I'm already considering getting a dosing unit, an Apex Neptune Controller and also the Vortech MP40 wavemaker.

so this was me putting my engineering skills to use. Retro- fit t's kits. Bought 2 36" kits for $90 a piece. Bulbs came out to be another $85-90 bucks. High output bulbs.
Ballast for my blues & a ballast for my whites
