This is my second reef tank, with my first being a Solana AIO. I have looked through the available products like skimmers and return pumps rated for 65 gallons or higher and could use some help deciding what exactly to purchase for this tank. I bought it used from a local reefer, with some plumbing parts included. The tank has a built-in overflow, is drilled, came with a DIY stand, as well as an AGA MegaFlow Model 3 sump. The tank's dimensions are 36"x20"x21".

First, what I've decided on for the return pump and skimmer are the Eheim 1262 and Reef Octopus NW110. Are these both good choices?

Second, here is a picture of the sump. If I need to change up the baffle layout in it to serve as more of a refugium, what would be the best way to do it?

Last, I have a question on lighting. I have a spare 150W MH pendant. I would prefer to keep just softies, thinking specifically of leathers, mushrooms, and zoas, as well as some low-light stonies, such as darker open brains and some of the bird's nest colorations. Would the pendant provide enough light, or is the wattage just too low for a MH on this tank?

Thanks a ton!

eheim is a good pump just put a ball valve off it just in case you have to much flow

the 150w pendant would be fine for the tank

Thanks for the good advice. Also happy to hear that the pendant would work, as lights were going to be the biggest expense aside from LR and LS to get the tank going.

From taking measurements and such with this sump, I'll need to whack out walls to make it all work, I think. The Eheim will not fit inside, and neither will my desired skimmer, as is. The pumps that the seller included are little AC 10 80 gph rated pumps that, while they fit inside, will not suite my needs. Am I probably better off just buying a 20L and making a DIY fuge?
