just bought a 90 gallon.. no budget for hardware.. suggestions?? I do know I want the kissel ap700, but from there??? like pumps?skimmer?sump?? also would the trigger ruby 36 elite be overkill???

I have a 90 and run a Ruby 36 on mine and Love it!! No such thing as overkill when it comes to sumps for me lol. Skimmer i would suggest would be a newer space saving Reef Octopus, reliable and on the cheaper side plus you need that extra room for the filter socks in that Trigger Ruby sump skimmer area. For pumps what are the dimensions of your tank? as far as pumps go i love Eheim, 1260 or 1262. Powerheads I really like Ecotech Depending on what you want to keep Mp10's or Mp40's are my suggestion. Good choice of lighting, I run 2 Kessil A350 on my 90 but also run T5's and a Current orbit marine, but love what the Kessels bring to the spectrum. That new Ap700 is awesome, a Shop near here runs it on a 90 and grows LPS like crazy! Hope this helps!

For a skimmer, I like the reef octopus. I would suggest getting a skimmer that is rated for a bigger tank. Being able to really skim is a nice option to have.

I have a Vertex Omega skimmer and love it. It's really quiet too, I have my tank in my living room so the quiet factor came into play. I had a Gyre 150 but wasn't a fan of the amount of maintenance that they need. I've switched over to 2 MP40s and so far so good. I can't report on how the corals have responded but they seem to be doing well for now.
