Well my son went off to college last year and since he couldnt have his dogs or his pet parrot with him he decided to get into fish. He started with freshwater and then at some point switched to saltwater. before coming home for the summer he bought a 90 gallon acrylic tank off of someone at one of the reef meetings he went to and brought it home. we got a cabinet for it and he plans on building a hood when he comes home for christmas this year. He already had several corals and a lanmower blenny and some clownfish when he came home and happened to win a pair of black photon clownfish and some more coral at a raffle the night before he can home to california. They all survived the trip and so now we have had the big tank set up since June and it is doing really well. We currently have 2 black photons, 3 green chromis, 2 yellow tailed damsels, 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 starry blenny, 1 blue tang, 1 dwarf pygmy angel, 1 sandsifter, 1 firefish, 1 tubeworm and 2 emerald crabs. Lots of live rock and corals including, 2 huge plate corals and 2 brain corals, frogspawn, green star polyp, daisys, and many others which i dont know what they are called yet but my son does. The tank is doing well and we have a 20 gallon sump with a protein skimmer, filter bag, live rock and carbon filtration and some algae. I was amazed at how much my son was able to learn and understand about keeping saltwater fish and his love for it. My husband had always wanted a saltwater tank being a biology major we had just never done anything about it. So now my son is back to school and we get a beautiful tank that we are learning more about all the time and watching everything grow and mature. Its definitley a learning curve but so worth it and i hope we can make our son proud with what we are doing with the tank. sorry the pictures are not the best they are with my cell phone. Will post some better ones with the good camera later.
Thanks
