That's it until I move into it. Just a Eshopps PSK 300, Autoaqua smart Ato from the old system..... after everything is moved I'll probably purchase Neptune controller. I'm going to jumpstart the biological with live sand, and live rock, and algea in my refugium. When all my parameters are correct then take out some water add the 100 lbs of rock I already have, all the water from the old system, corals, and fish. Then top off what ever water is needed. Then I'll slowing add the finishing touches I still need.

Installed these for supplemental lighting for my LEDS. 2 Sunpaq 32w PCF.

The Holliday have emptied my wallet again, sorry for the long time updates. My hope still is to be up the first of the year.

I have a 6 gallon container that fits under stand too, it's just not as convenient or as attractive as the 2.5 gallon one I'm using now. I'll probably use it when I go on vacation, when my youngest daughter watches the tank for me.

Last week my Aquasmart ATO pump quit on the 46 gallon, I filed a ticket with them, and they sent out new pump same day. Two days later Express mail I decided to put in on my 90 gallon, top off old tank manually, I'm just a little impatient, I want to make the move soon. I need at least 100 lb. Of live sand, and another box of reef salt, and then I can make the move. $200.00 seams like a lot when your broke. After I move I can purchase the other items I plan on using like my two 15RW Jebao pumps, my Neptune Basic Light controller. Then it just a matter of time as long as I don't get to much of a cycle, I can start thinking about stocking levels.
I have almost a 100 lbs of live rock in my 46 gallon very corline algea rock, and many other critters in it some wanted, other so so. And I have enough dry rock to finish my aquascape. I also have about a dozen corals to start, and my Rose BTA.
I guess I'm just venting text you all later. Wish me LOL.

Having a 90 of my own, I would recommend no more than about 1", which is closer to like 60-70 lbs. That's enough even for a sand burying wrasse as long as you put rocks down first. Just pile it up a little bit in a back corner.

If I use 60lb that could same me some cash, however do you think it's enough for a Goby, and shrimp pair? I'd like to have one it defiantly on my wish list.

Yes, they will go under rock and sand. I have a shrimp and goby pair. They'll do it run near a rock, and build up the sand around that as the shrimp excavates it from around the rock.

Cool, I like the symbiotic relationship thing. I've got a Cinomin Clown, and a rose BTA, but my clown never attached to my anemone, I plan on a anemone garden in the new tank. My clown is 9 years old, probably not the sharpest crayon in the box, as far as fish go. He still a beautiful fish when he's not hiding behind the rock work. Thanks for the advise.

Captive Reef Series CR 180D
10 color 180w 24" LED from Reefconer.com Origin based company. Its installed in my canopy now. I also have two sunpaq CF as suplimental lighting on either side of it in canopy, for a additional 62w I'm not running them in the pictures. I'll use when I'm more stocked.

Tank is currently BB , but I plan on adding sand because I want to have goby shrimp pair, and other sand dwellers.

Nitrate reduction experiment:
IMG_20150126_132044789.jpg

I'm assuming the nitrate in my old take up utaked through the live rock, and old water. The new tank started out with high nitrates 50 ppm. These measures are being taken.

The output of my bioreactor directly feeds my protein skimmer water input. A valve on the out put let's me control both tumbling of media, and fine adjustment to my skimmers output.

After 3 weeks nitrate has come down to 30 ppm. Whether from fudge, or bio-reactor, I can't tell. It interesting to say the least. I keep updating how it works out.
