Thanks for checking out the thread! I am making a new reef!

I have been collecting the necessary equipment, and heres what I currently own to start cycling:

Let me know what I am missing. I think I will get the Aquaticlife 48" lunar T5 fixture (Aquatic Life) to use as the main light source for my reef.

My plan is to use both the Aquaticlife T5 fixture and the Ecoxotic LEDs. Let me know what you think!

Gonna need powerheads for water movement.

Thank you both!

Reef Madness, would you buy a Metal Halide for my 90g or just straight T5s?

I have been searching for a MH fixture that is cost efficient, but only find the +1000$ fixtures.

Would you buy the other set of LEDs from Exocotic? (Panorama Marine LED System - Ecoxotic)

I like Halides myself. T-5 you can't get the water shimmer effect.
And no way you should pay $1000 for a halide fixture
Exocotic are excellent LEDS, and frankly you could get enough of those and you wouldn't need halides.

As mentioned above dont forget the powerheads! I recently just put a Koralia 850 gph powerhead on my 40 gallon breeder and it works wonders for the tank! Also, you probably already have a test kit for ammonia, nitrite, etc. but check to see if your reagents are up to date and not expired! Good luck with the cycle!
