I just made my first online coral order with world wide corals. It was a custom acan lord pack and I got 7 different frags. I had just changed my water a couple days before and everything was looking great and then I added the new frags and and everything has been looking good for the last two days and then this morning before I left for work I noticed one of the new acans was completely covered in some sort of whitish/tannish looking slime and in an early morning panic I took the coral and held it about 6 inches from the power head for hardly a second. I thought it was just something that had covered it but I was wrong . It blew the stuff off alright along with almost all of the flesh. What should I do ? This is in a 13.5 gallon tank so if this is some sort of flesh eating slime I need to get rid of it asap haha ! I'll be getting my water tested this afternoon on my way in and get that posted as well .

Sounds like brown jelly disease set in. All you can do is dip it, move to an area of increased flow. If you see any other coral show the same brown mass you might need to remove some pieces to prevent the spread. A diluted iodine dip is the best for this malady.

I just got off the phone with wwc and they said they will replace it no trouble. So the issue is resolved . Thanks for the help guys

Just be careful. BJD can spread to other fleshy corals. With you having effectively distributed it throughout the tank using your powerhead, I would keep a very close eye so you can catch it early.
