New acro frag broke! Will it be okay?

Woke up this morning and something knocked the rock over that my blue monster frag is on. It broke about 1/4" of the main stalk off the top. It isn't jagged and looks like a clean break across. Is there anything I need to do or will it be okay? Posting pics in my next post since they are on my phone.

Your fine, if the broken piece is of a decent size, you may want to find it because that will start growing as well. Nice piece by the way.

In 2 weeks the white area should be grown back over and start branching from there.

I found it!!! And it's a nice 3 point piece

General question... On average, under average conditions.... how long would it take for them to grow 1 inch for example?

You should dip it and place it on a different rock or frag plug. Give it some time and it will start to grow.

Now you're an experienced SPS fragger! Believe it or not, that's exactly how SPS corals are typically fragged, though it's usually intentional...lol. Snap a piece off, glue it to something, frag made!

hahaha! I watched YouTube several times about fragging everything but an acro... however I learned the super glue trick to make it harden near instantly.

I also found a small piece dangling from the main frag so I took it off and put it on another rock. The larger piece is beginning to have polyp extension
