I picked up several new Acro frags about 6 weeks ago from Adam. Most are doing great and I'm seeing growth. However, a few appear to be losing color and possibly turning white. Is it better to move the ones that are not doing well? I'm thinking about lowering them in my tank. OR should I keep them in place and hope they turn around? Not sure if it's better to remain stable or to make a change when you see the coral turning white?

Thoughts?

Most of the Acro are getting 300-400 par using Kessil 360x and T5 combo.

Ya white isnt good , I'd cut it and try and save some if it. You can lower it and move it but it's probably Stn so try and get ahead of it. You might be able to save a piece of it and see what happens . If the white part isnt getting bigger , maybe moving it will help

300-400 right off the bat might be too much light for them. Were they able to get properly acclimated to the light? Also is it turning white? Or colors just fading? It could also be due to starving (low nitrates etc etc)

What are your tank parameters?

It might be more fading instead of STN. I've seen other frags lose tissue in the past, but this looks more like the entire frag is getting lighter.

35 ppm salinity
7.5 DKH
435 CA
Nitrates 10 - dos neonitro
Phos near zero- I use a lot of reefroids to pull this up but it always goes back to zero. I do get a a decent amount of algae on my glass every day so I'm thinking I'm actually above zero.
Mag = 1350

5' x 2' tank
4 MP40s on reef crest 90%
~15 fish

Tank was started last Nov, so it's still on the newer side. Corraline algae growth all over rocks, overflow and bare bottom.

I do have some acros encrusting with great PE. My Bubblegum digi is blowing up. I've put in about 20 acro frags so far and would say about half are doing well. I'm not sure if that is good or not...

It's possible that the ones that aren't doing too well just dont like the placement they are currently at. That being said, Phos should be around 0.03. 0 Phos would prob mean starving, which can lead to fading in color. Nitrates at 10 seems perfect.
