I just purchased a 2 Inch Blonde Naso Tang for my aquarium and she is the only one of the bunch that isn't interested in acclimating with no issues. She spent most of the 1st and 2nd day staying inside the rockwork and not eating. Day 3 toward the end of the day she has spent the later part of the day slowly hanging out in the open but still not eating. My main question is what is your go to food for enticing tangs to eat? How aften do you feed your tangs and what amount?

Nori rubber banded to rocks. Live Blackworms always. My blonde naso is 5-6" and very very cryptic but you throw Blackworms in there and he goes NUTS.

Live brine works too

I just got a 5 inch blonde naso last week and i tried feeding mysid and shrimp and he wouldnt eat. I threw in pellets and he went to town on them. He loves pellets but doesnt like meat.

I threw the pellets in for giggles never thinking thats what he wanted more as a last resort. I feed him 3 times a day. He was timid the 1st 2 days but now when i walk around the tank he follows and will just stare at me till i throw in pellets. He reminds me of a puffer .

That is too funny.

Mine started off eating Nori and Mysis but is now eating pellets, brine, whatever. I got lucky and it was shy for a day and then hung out with the other fish non-stop afterwards. My Blonde, Purple and Magnificent Foxface are always together now.

You would be surprised how long fish can go without food.I had this one wrasse that didn't eat for the first week and then started eating one day.Too bad that he died after only two weeks.

I've had wrasse hide for a month and assumedly ate little if anything for most of that time.

I'm jealous my blonde naso is so healthy and beautiful but even after 6 months he immediately hides when he sees people. I feed him 2-5 times daily. Still hates me.
