Well today stopped by the local Pet Supplies Plus to see what they had gotten in on their Friday shipment. I had decided it was time to add another fish and was looking to add a Royal Gramma. They had a few in and I picked up the nicest one out of the pieces they had. Got home acclimated and has been placed in the tank. Staying near the back wall for now, got a picture with the phone. Will try getting some better pictures later. Feeding time is coming up shortly so will see how he does.

Nice, glad to see you found one. That was pretty quick too.

Yay! Congrats on the new addition! It was between the royal gramma and a diadem dottyback for me and I chose the diadem. I havent seen him much since I put him in the tank a couple of days ago... hope he is okay lol. But the royal grammas are a really pretty fish too, Im sure I will get one when I get my big tank  Cant wait to see a pic of yours when he is feeling photogenic lol

Pet Supplies +.... ouch. There are alot better places here in MI that have alot better systems for caring for their fish as well as higher quality stock ;) Nice fish tho, hopefully it will not be to shy.

I know there are better places, but unfortunatly this is the only one that is within reach for me.

Thanks everyone, he is a nice looking guy. He has been hanging out along the back of the tank. At least he is swimming around and not hiding. Everyone has been leaving him alone so far, hopefully he will start venturing out in the tank more in the next few days.

Mine seems to hang out in the middle cave in my tank and while he travels out of it, seems to stay within reach and is not afraid to let evry other fish swimming by that the cave is his area

Thanks Rev

It will be interesting Steeler to see what he does as he becomes more accustomed to his settings.

excellent pickup! i love RG's but for some reason every singe one has disappeared on me. :ooh:

Thank you, hopefully he doesn't disappear on me. He is a nice addition of color to the tank which the boyfriend was just saying the other day that the tank was needing. Was already planning on getting him just waiting for the shipment to come in.

Well I have a sad update on this little guy this morning. The last couple of days he had been hiding out mostly in the rock work and during feeding time he would pick at some of the food, but did not show a strong feeding response. This morning I found the little guy had moved on to the ocean beyond :( So in a week or so I will start looking for a new little one and see if I can get better luck with him.

Sorry for your loss Barb. I know how loosing a member of your tank feels. Good luck with the next one.

Thanks saltgator, this is the second time since I started my tank that I have had a new fish not make it within the first few days. I am hoping thst when I try my next one that my qt tank will be available. Have some rock rubble that I have been curing to put in the main for pod stations. I am hoping with the qt tank available might have a bit more success.
