Hello all,

i'm looking to add a couple new fish to my IM40 mixed reef. Current fish are; Female Captive Mandrain little over 2yrs. Female Blue Star Lepord wrasse, Court Jester goby. What I've been looking at is Halichoeres melanurus and Yellow assessor.

I know Melanurus will out grow my current tank. Any thing else I might need to consider before I purchase it?

Yellow Assessor is going to be an addition

Or anything else that I might not have thought about?

If you put a wrasse in a tank that small with a mandarin the mandarin will starve. Wrasses are extremely efficient hunters and will strip a tank of pods in a short time. Wrasses are also notorious jumpers.
A sand bed is also needed because many wrasses including the melanarus wrasse bury themselves in the sand to sleep.
